Giancarlo Barolat, MD

Dr. Barolat completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Torino, Italy, and later at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he also completed a fellowship in Spine/Spinal Cord Injury. He is board certified by both the Italian Board of Neurosurgery and the American Board of Neurosurgery. Dr. Barolat has served as President of the International Neuromodulation Society and is a founding member of the American Neuromodulation Society. With over 9,000 neurostimulation implants and five granted U.S. patents in the area of neurostimulation and pain management, he is internationally recognized for his contributions to the field. Dr. Barolat has been honored with multiple Lifetime Achievement Awards from prestigious organizations, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the International Neuromodulation Society.
