Dr. Michael Eby

He was born and raised in Denver and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania. His initial interest in orthopaedics as well as spinal surgery was found during his medical studies at Georgetown University. He returned to the University of Pennsylvania for his residency program, where he completed a dedicated year of research focused on musculoskeletal tissue engineering. During residency he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, selected as academic chief resident, served as the Editor-In-Chief of the University of Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Journal and received the Deforest Willard award for outstanding performance. He finished his surgical training with the prestigious Emory University Spine Fellowship program before returning home to Denver.

Dr. Eby performs adult spinal surgery utilizing a wide array of techniques. From small minimally invasive decompression surgeries to large spinal reconstructions or revision procedures, he prides himself on spending time face to face with his patients to tailor his surgical intervention to each person’s unique situation and goals. He particularly enjoys collaboration across specialties both in nonoperative treatment as well as operative treatment to provide his patients with the best team of people to achieve the best outcome. Outside of his practice, he enjoys spending time with his wife and his two young sons exploring endless outdoor activities in the mountains of Colorado.
