Eileen Chen, Psy.D

Dr. Chen has expertise in using third-wave cognitive-behavioral therapies to treat adolescents coping with substance misuse and co-occurring mental health concerns. She is a training facilitator for impACT, a specialized training that combines Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy for substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions, delivering this training to a diverse range of specialties and professionals in the use of this transdiagnostic model. Her research focuses on understanding how social determinants of health impact health equity and healthcare access, as well as understanding barriers and facilitators to health and mental health care for historically marginalized groups.
